Anne-Sophie Briest

Hi everyone,

I’m Anne-Sophie Briest from Berlin, Germany, and an alumna of the Euroleague Basketball Master Class of 2025. I completed the program in January with the Best Paper Award, focusing on the influence of players’ wives and girlfriends on elite athlete performance — a topic I’ve explored throughout my academic journey, including in my first Master’s degree in Sports and Performance Psychology and my Bachelor’s in Business Psychology, where I also focused on courses in coaching and advisory.

My connection to the basketball world goes far beyond academics. I’ve been involved in the sport for many years, including working as a scout for one of the leading basketball agencies in Europe. The Euroleague has long been a central focus of both my professional and academic interests, and I’m excited to stay involved by supporting the next generation of students in this program. I basically live and breathe basketball and academics. Nothing is more appealing to me. I know I sound crazy;).

As part of this new chapter, I’ll be offering guidance and coaching to help you succeed — not just academically, but also personally and professionally. I’m here to support you with:

  • Time management and self-organization – structuring your work and balancing responsibilities
  • Academic writing and research – from thesis development to clear, confident communication
  • Clarifying expectations – understanding what’s required and how to meet it effectively
  • Finding your personal focus – refining your research interest and aligning it with your long-term goals
  • Navigating challenges – whether it’s motivation, stress, or staying on track
  • Building your professional presence – including networking, presentation, and confidence in basketball settings

And of course, I’m happy to answer any questions or concerns — whether big or small.
Feel free to reach out anytime at as.briest@gmail.com — I’m looking forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey.

Warm regards, Anne-Sophie
